Germany Trade & Invest is the economic development agency of the Federal Republic of Germany. With more than 400 employees at 50 locations in Germany and abroad, and its network of partners throughout the world, GTAI supports German companies setting up in foreign markets, promotes Germany as a business location and assists foreign companies and start-ups setting up in Germany.

Since 2017, the GTAI Trend & Innovation Scouting team has been responsible for the internationalization of the Digital Hub Initiative. It provides global market visibility and connectivity to partners, supports German start-ups going international and helps foreign start-ups join the hub ecosystem across Germany.

Twelve Digital Hubs located throughout Germany provide a vibrant network that facilitates the exchange of technological and economic expertise, programs and ideas. Each Digital Hub fosters collaboration between start-ups, companies and research institutions through joint innovation challenges, incubation, acceleration and corporate innovation programs and co-working opportunities. German and foreign start-ups benefit from cooperation opportunities, pitch-events, opportunities to gain visibility at large tech conferences, expert consultation and much more.
