GERMAN CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE ABROAD
The network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) consists of bilateral chambers of commerce, delegations and representatives of German business. AHKs advise, consult and represent German companies worldwide in 140 locations and in 92 countries.

At the same time, the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad represent links between cultures. They are at home in two mentalities and in numerous languages. Through AHKs startups have access to a vast network of over 3.5 million SME and corporates in Germany, bridging Old and New Economy.
ASSOCIATION OF GERMAN CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY
The Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) is the umbrella organization for the German Chambers of Commerce. It represents the interests of millions of businesses of all sizes and from all sectors. The DIHK also coordinates the worldwide network of the Chambers abroad. With its roots in the regions, the worldwide presence and an overview of the breadth of the economy the DIHK is a competent partner for politicians, consulting on laws relevant to the economy.
GERMAN CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY
All commercial companies in Germany are members of their Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK). The Chambers therefore speak on behalf of companies of all sizes and from all sectors - from the kiosk owner on the corner to the international automotive group. For 150 years they have been committed to ensuring framework conditions which promote growth and prosperity: from freedom and competition and open markets, to a good education.

The IHKs organize in-company training, provide information on taxes, marketing, innovation and business law, advice on starting a business and energy efficiency and arrange contacts with banks and savings banks. They know what is important to their local companies and always have an ear to the ground.

Of the 79 different Chambers in Germany, some of the most powerful have joined forces and will welcome the participants of „Start.up! Germany 2018“ to meet with their respective member companies: Düsseldorf, Cologne, as well as the six Chambers of the Ruhr area, with the Chamber of Dortmund being the lead partner of the tour.
